King George's Field

Fulmer Village King George's Field

King George's Field on Fulmer Common Road is looked after by Fulmer Sports and Community Association - a not for profit organisation set up by Fulmer Parish Council to develop and promote community use of the recreation facilities there.

King George's Field is currently the home of:

Fulmer Cricket Club meets for nets on Tuesday evenings and plays a series of 30-40 friendly matches on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer months (May-Sep). The club is small and friendly and players and supporters enjoy the convivial benefits of the pavilion and bar, in a very pleasant setting.

Fulmer Tennis Club, a very small and informal club, shares two courts on a marvellous new (summer 2009) all-weather facility with the football club's 5-a-side pitch. Currently, the club is looking for an organiser to step forward to represent the Tennis Club on the FSCA committee.

Gerrards Cross & Fulmer Football Club achieved FA Charter Standard status in 2007 and now offers coaching for all ages from under 7's to under 18's. The club is known for its inclusive, community-based approach. Junior teams play in a mini-soccer conference while Youths (from U11) play in the Bucks Free Press League (Wycombe & District).

The pavilion, playing field, sports pitches and all-weather courts/pitch (pictured) are very popular for private and corporate hire. The pavilion has a fully equipped kitchen and a licensed bar for parties and entertaining; changing rooms and showers are available for sporting events. The pavilion hall can cater for 66 seated or 100 standing and larger parties can be accommodated by arrangement. The car park has spaces for about 30 cars and further parking is available off site.

The recreation area has swings and a climbing frame and there is a brick built barbeque near the pavilion.
